Before we talk

Tell me about your practice.

About ten minutes of questions, then you pick your time. They are the reason our thirty minutes can start with answers instead of me asking what you do. Answer what you feel like answering: only the handful marked * are required, and “rather not say” is a real answer on the money questions.

You and the practice

Practice area Check all that apply.
How many people work in the practice?

How clients find you now

Where do you think most new clients come from today? Best guess is fine. The gap between what we think and what is actually true is usually the interesting part.
Do you track which of those actually produced a signed client?

Capacity and value

This section changes my advice more than any other. Ballpark numbers are fine.

Roughly what is a typical client worth over the life of the matter?
Annual revenue Optional. Skip it and we can talk about it live instead.

Marketing today

Who handles marketing right now?

Whether this can actually work

The camera question is the one that decides it. If that answer is a no, better that we both know before the call. The other two help me prepare.

This system runs on you, or someone at your firm your clients will meet, being on camera about an hour a week. Is that something you are up for?*
Is there someone on staff, often the office manager, who could run this after I leave? They do not need to be technical.

The two that make the meeting

Take your time on these. They are what let me show up with something specific about your practice instead of something generic.

Next you will pick a time that works.
